Remembering life’s finest moments
A Midnight Hug With My Baby Girl To Remember
It’s 23:54 and my eighteen month old toddler — a girl that is a bundle of joy, and almost always smiles , and the youngest of three beautiful kids— wakes me up as she’s crying. Not out loud, but recognizable enough for me to know she’s still feeling sick.
She got the flu and started to feel sick two days earlier. The mild temperature raise and coughing gave it away earlier.
I picked her up, and gave her a big hug. After giving her her drinking bottle with fresh water.
I knew she was thirsty after almost entirely zipping it empty in one go. I gave her some medicine to make her feel — And hopefully sleep- better and wanted to put her back to bed as she began talking, and then wining again.
I Needed To Give Her Some More Attention
As it Appeared, she wanted me to hold her a little longer. And I was fine with that.
It was the third day that started after an interrupted night’s sleep. I always act a little grumpy in the morning but as a parent of two seven year old twins I know that these days happen, and they come with the parenting job.
