From Code to Composition: Edson Kailes’ Tech-Infused Music Challenge

As you might (or might not) know, I’ve embarked on an exciting journey for 2024 — combining my two passions: music and technology.
Over the course of this year, I am challenging myself to create and release six unique songs, each in a different genre. Welcome to the #2024MUSICx6 challenge. This is not just a musical journey; it’s a testament to the endless possibilities at the intersection of art and technology.
Edson Kailes: A Fusion of Tech and Music
With over two decades of experience in IT and a lifelong love for music, I’ve always found myself at the confluence of technology and creativity. My background as a software developer, early adopter, and online entrepreneur has given me a unique perspective on how technology can transform the way we create and experience music.
In recent years, digital tools and AI have taken off, gaining my interest which resulted in me creating an AI powered micro-SaaS (LINQ Me Up). Not long after LLM’s were introduced, generative AI revolutionized the graphics- and music industry. However, there’s a common misconception that AI-generated music lacks soul or originality. My goal with the #2024MUSICx6 challenge is to dispel this myth and demonstrate that quality, original art can indeed be created using AI.
The Challenge: Six Genres, Six Unique Songs
Throughout 2024, I will be releasing six songs, each representing a different genre. This is not just about showcasing my musical versatility but also about exploring the vast creative potential of AI in music production. Here’s a glimpse into the progress so far:
- In May, I introduced country/pop song Backroads and Memories
- In June, I dropped a metal/hardrock tune: Light in the Chaos
I’m already working on my 3rd release, in a very surprising genre.
