How to detect, and stop fake virus notifications and phishing notifciations and spam notifications on Mac OS.

In this article, you’ll learn about how Mac OS doesn’t have virusses and how to prevent the notifications that seem to indicate your Mac has a virus.

Apparently, I recently accepted a website’s dialogue that asked for notification access. I suspect this happened while using some free services to convert YouTube videos into MP3’s and converting MOV to MP4 files.

It can be as simple as a wrong click (alongside clicking away those naggy ads that these “free” services harbour) to give a website the rights to show notifications.

And about three days ago, I started to see Notifications appear that state things like (just to give a few examples):

  • Critical virus detected!
  • Your computer is infected
  • Viruses found(3)

Notifications are nice
