In every age and time, people are looking for some group, party or band that resonates with their understanding of the world and takes that as a truth.

I’m from the Netherlands where politics don’t go as far as dividing people because of their ideology goes. But having a parent that doesn’t educate himself/herself and decides to live “within their bubble” is a sad thing.

It doesn’t take away your love for them, but it disables any possibility to have a discussion with them on an equal level and prevents to educate or enlighten each other about this world we live in.

That’s sad, because we could gain so much more from our parents experience, and they from their kids refreshing world view.

It would be nice if you BOTH could agree to disagree, and promise to respect eachother on a human level without yelling out at eachother.
