The biggest advantage of running on a MBP is that it is built with hardware and software from one company. Those are perfectly aligned and this is noticeable in the fact that a device will run smoothly even after 4–5 years.

I hate the flaws that are present in the 2015+ models and really hope that this one is the answer to overheating, sticky keyboard keys and the like.

I used to be an Apple fan, now I’m a pro user who just wants the best quality for the buck. I’d go for a 1TB disk because adding over $2K is just insane for 4Tb… but paying $4000 for a config that will keep me going for 4–6 years is not too bad. It beats me having to buy a windows laptop each 2 years and pumping all the software over and setting it up for a day or two.
