Washing Hands Takes More Than Splashing Water Over Your Hands

Who needs an app to wash their hands, right?

Well, If you’ve seen the instructions as provided by the World Health Organisation (WHO) you’ll know that decontaminating hands properly takes more effort than the 5-second hand splashes most people see as “washing their hands”.

The instructions that they provide here show decontamination steps that maker sure you don’t miss a spot on your hands.

To teach my kids how to wash their hands according to the WHO’s instructions, I created an app called Washem.

How Does Washem Help?

Washem is a simple and easy app that helps kids (and adults) to follow along with animations and instructions and learn all the proper steps for cleaning their hands.

Learning by doing has been the credo for developers and tech people for years. As it appears, it also applies for teaching people the proper handwashing technique.
